Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Leaked Case Renders Showcase a Similar Design to Its Predecessor

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is months away, but countless rumors and leaks seem to be spoiling Samsung’s Unpacked event. Alleged housing representations of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 have recently leaked on the Internet. The transparent protective covers indicate a similar design language to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The recess for the LED flash has moved from the bottom of the camera module to the side. The upcoming model could also bring slight changes in the camera bar. Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 later this July.

Popular tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has Posted Alleged renders of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 cases. The leaked images suggest that Samsung remains familiar with the design of the new foldable device. The transparent cases are designed with cutouts for the power button and volume rockers on the back and on the bottom for the speaker and USB Type-C port. There’s a cutout on the back that showcases the camera unit and largely hints at the same design options as its predecessor. The LED flash seems to have moved right next to the camera, while on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 the flash is just below the three cameras on the back.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July rather than late August. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to be priced at US$1,799 (about Rs.1,47,000).

Like the previous model, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to have a 6.2-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could run on One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC is said to power the device. It could pack 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is said to have a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a new “teardrop” hinge design with IPX8 construction.
