Rickie Fowler produced a spectacular finish to take a one-stroke lead in the final round of the PGA Tour’s Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.
Fowler, seeking his first PGA Tour victory since 2019, birdied five of his last six holes to record an 8-under 64 at Detroit Golf Club and move to 20-under, one shot above par. Canadian Adam Hadwin.

Hadwin matched the course record by scoring an eagle and seven birdies in a bogey-free 63, while co-leader of his compatriot’s half Taylor Pendrith dropped two shots back to third after posting his five-under-par 67 with a bogey.

England’s Aaron Rai is three shots behind and shares fourth place, while two-time Grand Slam champion Collin Morikawa is one of five players tied for sixth at 16-under and four back going into the final day.
The threat of thunderstorms has seen tee times moved up for the final round, with players teeing off in trios on Sunday and a working two-tee start. The final group is now scheduled to tee off at 8:55am local time (1:55pm BST).
