The Lenovo Tab M9 was launched in India on Friday. The Chinese company’s new Android tablet features a metal body with a two-tone design and supports face unlock. The Lenovo Tab M9 runs on the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and a maximum of 64GB of onboard storage. It features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The Lenovo Tab M9 packs a 5,100mAh battery that is said to offer up to 13 hours of video playback time on a single charge.

The Lenovo Tab M9 is priced from Rs. 12,999 in India. The tablet is available in Frost Blue and Storm Gray color variants and will be available on Amazon, Flipkart and Lenovo.com starting June 1st. It will also be available through offline retail channels.
The Lenovo Tab M9 was launched globally during CES 2023 with a starting price of US$139 (about Rs.12,000).

Lenovo’s Tab M9 runs Android 12, and the company promises three years of security updates and an Android OS update for the tablet. It features a 9-inch HD LCD TFT display (800 x 1,340 pixels) with a peak brightness of 400 nits. The display also has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. Under the hood, the tablet features an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC along with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Lenovo has given the Tab M9 an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus. There is a 2-megapixel selfie sensor on the front. It offers 64GB of eMMC onboard storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11AC, Bluetooth 5.1, a headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Google One, Google TV, Netflix and YouTube Kids, among others, are preinstalled on the device. The integrated sensors include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor and a hall sensor. It also supports face unlock feature for authentication.
The Lenovo Tab M9 packs a 5,100mAh battery with 15W fast charging. The battery is said to provide up to 13 hours of video playback time, up to 15 hours of music playback and up to 12 hours of web surfing time on a single charge. The tablet has two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio technology. It also measures 215.43 x 136.76 x 7.99 mm and weighs 344 grams.
