Kyle Walker will not face criminal charges following the conclusion of a police investigation into an alleged incident at a bar in Wilmslow on March 8.
Police made inquiries, which involved speaking to those involved, after a video surfaced on social media earlier this month.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said Sky Sports News: “A 32-year-old man from Prestbury voluntarily went to a police station for questioning on March 16. He has been dealt with out of court and the matter is now closed.”
Walker has not commented on the situation since it was reported and his club Manchester City consider the alleged incident a private matter.
City manager Pep Guardiola repeated this stance when asked about Walker at a press conference earlier this month.
“It’s a private issue,” Guardiola said. “We resolve it internally and talk to him. This is not the place to talk about private situations.”
