Floyd Mayweather Jr., Enhance Health partner to expand access to healthcare -Dlight News

Health insurance brokerage and care navigation platform Enhance Health announced it is working with world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to improve access to health care in low-income communities.

Through the exclusive partnership, Enhance and Mayweather aim to promote wellbeing, equity, and accessible and inclusive healthcare while leveraging Enhance’s resources and the Mayweather brand.

“Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I am proud to work with Enhance Health to ensure families from all walks of life have access to the health care they need to thrive. Together we can make a difference and create positive change in communities across the country,” Mayweather said in a statement.

Mayweather was founded in 2019 the Floyd Mayweather Jr Foundationa 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on economic growth and development, community health and well-being, and youth education.

Several celebrities have found their way into the healthcare space, including the US tennis champion Andy Roddick, who in June announced a partnership with Glen Tullman’s Transcarent, a digital platform focused on the self-insured employer market.

Roddick’s ViewFi, a technology-enabled virtual orthopedic and rehabilitation platform, has partnered with Transcarent to bring virtual orthopedic and musculoskeletal care to patients through Transcarent’s Consult Solution.

fellow tennis champion Serena Williams launched her venture fund, called Serena Ventures, in 2014, which has invested in connected fitness company Tonal, virtual and in-patient healthcare provider Juno Medical, and at-home cervical cancer screening company Teal Health.

Williams also supported Lifeforce, a personalized health platform built on a telehealth model and co-founded by motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
