Upon returning to Los Angeles, Song and Culkin were first sighted in July 2017 during the dinner rush at Craig’s in West Hollywood, a celebrity-filled place you don’t go to when trying to keep a relationship quiet.
They were spotted holding hands on what one eyewitness described as a “loving” double date with unwitting matchmaker Green and his wife in October at Knott’s Scary Farm Clare Grant. But Song and Culkin also spent a lot of time in Paris, where he had lived, and drove back and forth to Amsterdam, Germany and various locations in the US
“When you spend time traveling, you really get to know someone,” Song told Bustle. “You also really get to know yourself because you start to figure out your strengths and weaknesses and how well you adapt. So we did that for about a year.”
And they’ve just been together ever since, not pushy with their romance but happily chugging along one day in March 2018 with Green and Grant at Disneyland, at Stand Up to Cancer and getting snapped by paparazzi on their coffee trips. (Although Culkin admitted that esquire in 2020 that he worried a lot in those early days, that everything was too good to be true, that something would perform and blow it up.)
