Rangers manager Michael Beale has revealed that there is “no truth” to the rumors linking Alfredo Morelos to Sevilla as talks continue over the striker’s future.
Morelos is out of contract at Ibrox in the summer and reports claim that he has agreed a pre-contract with the LaLiga outfit.
Beale has started Antonio Colak in the last three matches, but insists he “has no problems” with the Colombia international.
“We spoke after the game on Sunday. [Scottish Cup victory over Raith Rovers] and there was nothing true in the rumor of Sevilla”, said Sky Sports News ahead in Saturday’s game at Motherwell.
“We are committed to each other until the end of the season and there are discussions between that.
“Since I came in, Alfredo has trained and played very well, there are certainly no problems between him and me.
“We’re on the same page and we’ll keep working through the summer. I think everything at this point is open for discussion.”
Midfielder Ryan Jack is one of six other Rangers players out of contact in the summer but, despite suffering injuries in recent seasons, the manager is confident he will remain at the club.
“It’s good to see him back in Steve Clarke’s Scotland team because he’s been absent in two places on occasion,” Beale added.
“He’s an important player on both sides with a firm focus on Rangers. If he plays well here and stays fit, he’s a great player for us, he’s a player I would want here.”
“He’s been playing really well recently because he’s feeling fit and healthy, we’ve managed it well, if we continue down that path I don’t think there’s any problem with Ryan being here at Rangers.”
Malik Tillman, on loan from Bayern Munich until the end of the season, could return for the match at Fir Park, live on Sky Sports.
Left-back Ridvan Yilmaz could make his first start since October, while Borna Barisic is unavailable because his wife is due to give birth.
