To enable the maximum use of modern communication technology for patient care, teaching, research and good governance, AIIMS has decided to equip itself with a 5G network by June 30, officials said.
A five-member committee was formed to expedite the process, according to an office memorandum issued by Director Prof. M. Srinivas.
“In line with current trends and to enable the maximum use of modern communication technology for patient care, teaching, research, good governance and optimal use of the Integrated Medical University Information System (IMUIS), it is desirable that the entire AIIMS, New -Delhi The campus has a strong 5G cellular network to enable robust cellular and data connectivity within the buildings,” said Srinivas.
The committee is chaired by Prof. Vivek Tandon, Department of Neurosurgery AIIMS, and members include Drs. According to administration officials, the AIIMS in Delhi has around 50,000 visitors daily and good mobile connectivity is essential.
